Roots in Charlotte.

Justin Agans and Eric Spengler met on the first day of orientation while new students Indiana University Maurer School of Law. What started as a close friendship has since grown into a business partnership of over a decade.

Spengler & Agans was founded in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2013. Justin and Eric set out to open a law practice that would run the same as a startup: lean, flexible, and effective. From day one, they committed to providing high quality legal services at competitive rates.

In 2018, the firm moved into a new permanent office space, as owners of an historic house recently converted to commercial use.

Expanding Our Reach

In 2023, the firm welcomed a third attorney from the founders’ alma mater. Nathan Wenk joined the firm’s business practice and opened a satellite office in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.
